Per the direction of the Raleigh National Weather Service, Central Carolina SKYWARN will no longer take reports of “1 inch or more of rainfall in an hour’s time or less.”\u00a0 The NWS has determined that this amount of rainfall does not necessarily result in flooding and therefore should not remain a criterion to report.\u00a0 We will continue to take reports of “flooding and flash flooding where none normally occurs.”\u00a0 This change was effective September 4, 2014.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
